Synopsis
The Flight Analyst is solely responsible for optimal inventory use across the Etihad network. Their focus is to drive the revenue impact of overbooking against the cost of denied boarding along with negative Guest experience. Using PROS and other data sources analyse the trend of no-shows and cancellations. Using market knowledge adapt strategy to ensure optimal solution. Focus person for Revenue Management to highlight route performance and work closely with the Market Teams to correct any forecast imbalances.
Accountabilities

Flight Management: Accountable for accurate forecasting of cancellation and no-show trends for assigned routes.

Analyse, using various data sources to ensure overbooking levels are optimised and Etihad seat inventory is fully utilised.

Manage peak travel periods using market knowledge and previous seasonal changes to ensure revenue and denied boarding are optimised.

Coordinate with Network Operations and individual Airport Managers highlighting critical flights where denied boarding is anticipated and provide options for disposal.

Performance Analysis: Analyse forward booking performance of assigned routes focusing on performance outside of normal activity. Highlight key points of sales where demand forecast could be adjusted and coordinate with Market & Group teams to ensure individual demand forecasts are corrected.

Systems & Reporting: Design, prepare & seek approval to implement system approaches to manage corporate inventory schemes such as Redemption & Non-Revenue. Using previous demand analysis to ensure most optimal approach is used recognising revenue dilution potential. Compile reporting to show the trends from implementation
Education & Experience

Educated to university degree level in an Economics, Business, Statistics or other numerate discipline or an equivalent experience in Reservations or Inventory Management.

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the travel industry, 2 years of which should have been in a Revenue Management / Commercial Sales / Analytic environment.

Previous experience in Inventory Management and in working with Revenue Management systems would be beneficial
