The Role
As a Plater, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We are looking for someone to collaborate with us on our transformation journey and make a positive impact on our business.
Day-to-day, you’ll be manufacturing within the defence industry of small, medium and large complex components.
- Plating/Fabrication of large high strength, quenched and tempered Steel assemblies for the defence industry.
- Fabrication of assemblies used for lifting and handling in the defence industry.
- Flame cutting/profiling, rolling, press brake.
- Fabrication from design drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) modelling.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Ashton Vale, Bristol.
Experience of the Plater
- Time served apprenticeship or similar in welding/fabrication.
- Working to high quality standards.
- Capable of reading complex fabrication drawings.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Experience of fabrication/plating in the defence industry.
Qualifications for the Plater
- Lifting and Slinging associated qualification.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate will be allowed to start on Standard (BPSS) but will need to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearnece.
