We are looking for a highly skilled Senior FinOps Analyst to lead our cloud cost optimization efforts, located in our Rehovot office.
This role involves analyzing cloud infrastructure, identifying opportunities for cost efficiency, and collaborating across teams to ensure financial accountability in cloud spending.
Key Responsibility:
Develop and Execute Financial Plans: Create comprehensive financial plans and budgets for cloud infrastructure and services, incorporating historical data and projected usage to forecast future costs.
Cost Management & Optimization: Analyze and monitor cloud spending across departments, identifying cost-
saving opportunities and implementing optimization measures without impacting performance.
Cloud Financial Accountability: Establish and maintain processes to ensure team accountability for cloud costs
and usage, tracking key financial metrics and addressing spending challenges.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead forecasting and provide actionable insights and recommendations on cloud usage to guide financial decisions.
Reporting & Insights: Build and manage reporting dashboards for cloud spend and utilization, delivering insights to leadership and stakeholders on financial health.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with, and operations teams to implement FinOps best practices, promote cost awareness, and collaboratively address cost-related
challenges.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with cloud vendors, optimizing pricing agreements, discounts, and usage patterns.
Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify and assess risks related to cloud cost usage, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard financial objectives.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in FinOps or cloud optimization roles with a proven track record in managing cloud costs and financial optimization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and evaluating cloud usage.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration with vendors, stakeholders, and teams
across finance, engineering, and operations.
In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, resource utilization, and cost optimization best practices.
Familiarity with the three major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) is required, with strong experience in AWS
required.
Proficiency with cost management and optimization tools (e.g., Cloudhealth, Finout, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost
Management) as well as reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) required, FinOps certification is a strong advantage.
