Job Summary
Our new Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Filton, Bristol is a £32m state of the art technology research and development facility. It acts as a hub for world-class innovative technology for the next generation of fuel-efficient aircraft. It offers a collaborative space for research and development with universities, the UK’s CATAPULT network and GKN Aerospace’s UK supply chain, to help strengthen aerospace technology and support the UK’s Industrial strategy.
This year we have graduate opportunities supporting our exciting Hydrogen Systems research programme working for the fantastic teams that develop the technology focused on zero emission cryogenic powertrain and fuel storage development programmes. What You'll Do
Working in a graduate role with the team, you will give you the opportunity to participate in:
- Cutting edge research and development of novel solutions for zero emission powertrains and fuel storage and supply systems
- Developing control system solutions for the hydrogen power system
- Creating simulation models of physical systems which comprise the powertrain and actuation.
- Verification Testing of real physical systems containing novel technologies
- Developing prototype control solutions and testing in the Virtual Test Lab
- Model based software development & test
- Safety & reliability analysis including use case and operational assessment
- Exploitation of Model Based Systems Engineering tools and understanding to a real research programme

Qualifications
- Engineering, Physics or Mathematics based degree to a Bachelors or Masters level
Control Systems, Software & Simulation, Aerospace and Electrical/Electronic content advantageous but not essential.
Excellent team player with passion and energy for the achievement of sustainable routes to aircraft propulsion.
