Johnson service group is an award-winning staffing company looking for a Composite Assembler with 2-5 years’ experience working in an Aerospace environment. This is a Temp-Direct job opportunity for an Aircraft company in Valencia, CA.
Pay Rate: $23.00 HR

Overview:The Composite Assembler will hand assemble inlet silencers. Working with materials such as honeycomb and felt metal. Build splitters and flanges, deburr and sand units to meet drawing dimensions. Perform fit test until units are completed to acceptance.
This position will start off on 1st shift for training and then transition to 2nd shift starting January 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Positions and assembles parts according to special instructions, routers, and blueprints.
- Measures parts to specified tolerances.
- Deburrs, grinds and buffs parts.
- Records time on labor sheets for each process of assembly.
- Receives job package consisting of final card, special instructions, blueprint, and acceptance test procedures for each job.
- Receives parts for each job from stock room.
- Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, complete a nonconforming material report.
- Prepare assembled products for in process and final inspection.
- Safely handle chemicals such as adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks.
- Maintain assembly area clean and free of foreign object damage (FOD).
- Use of pneumatic tools such as grinders, belt sanders, drill press.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, trade school certification, or 1 years of composite assembly.
- Must be able to read and write in English,
- Follow all safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Document any unconformity findings, possess basic math skills to perform conversion calculations.
- Must be able to adjust to changing demands of the workload and maintain integrity.
- Must be able to work overtime during the week and weekends.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs.
- Requires ability to walk, sit and stand for the duration of the work shift.
