About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Assistant Director Training Delivery at IATA Training, you will oversee the daily operations of Distance, Digital, and Instructor-Led training.
What your day would be like
You will oversee the training operations within the AMERICAS region ensuring the smooth execution of training programs, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, and supporting the global objectives set by the Assistant Director of Training Delivery. The incumbent will manage a regional team, coordinate with various stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.
- You will oversee and be responsible of the training delivery of your Region leading and managing a regional team of one Assistant Manager and two Training Coordinators.
- You will be responsible of setting clear objectives and performance goals of the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and ensuring a customer centric approach to operations.
- You will oversee the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the region ensuring timely and accurate delivery of training products and services.
- Coordinate the scheduling and execution of training programs to minimize cancelations.
- Conduct onboarding training for training partners, customers, and team members to ensure the guidelines, SOPs, and best practices are followed.
- Manage IATA Training supplies’ inventory of the Region.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or customer complaints.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and simplification.
- Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with other regional managers and the global team to share best practices.
- Participate in regular calls and meetings to discuss operational challenges and solutions.
- Promote innovation and camaraderie within the regional team.
- Support the Assistant Director of Training Delivery in strategic initiatives and projects.
- Lead data analysis efforts to support decision-making and business development.
We would love to hear from you if you meet the following criteria
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in management position(s) in training in world-class organization(s).
- University Degree in Aviation/Business Administration/International Business/Marketing /Education or another related subject.
- Solid working knowledge of the endorsed training organizations concept and/or personnel licensing and/or capacity building.
- Strong sales and customer service orientation, negotiation skills with experience in closing "C" level contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Persistent and positive can-do approach.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail, meeting deadlines.
- Strong team player and multi-cultural awareness.
- Ability to think openly, imaginatively and creatively; must enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Highly computer literate: good PC skills, particularly in MS Office. Familiarity with IT systems such as SAP, SharePoint, Salesforce and Learning Management systems is a definite asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of an additional language would be an asset.
