Job Description:
Looking for a Master Scheduler to help keep operations running and schedule production per different contracts. This is a production planning position, with responsibilities for scheduling the entire production process, from sale orders to delivery of the product. This role contains functions that are necessary for planning master schedule items, that means finished products and important assemblies. Selected candidate will work from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. They will advise management of the status of work in progress, coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensure availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions. planning, and project and Work Center schedule execution. Minimal supervision of daily activities will be required with independent judgment relative to work activities expected.
Essential Functions:
- Maintaining master data (selection of BOMs by explosion date, BOM explosion number, new account key assignment to project)
- Displaying and setting planning file entries manually
- Executing total planning run for master schedule items
- Executing single-item planning run for master schedule items
- Displaying availability overview for material
- Processing backlogs
- Reorganizing MRP lists
- Overseeing and developing the overall production schedule.
- Create production schedules
- Enforce deadlines and schedules
- Document all production progress
- Proficient with industry software such as Microsoft Project and other MRP and ERP systems. Preferably SAP.
- Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area
- Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and may require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Must understand ERP Manufacturing Planning Systems, ideally SAP.
- Experience and understanding of requirements in the requisitioning, purchasing, stocking, control, and issuance of inventory.
- Capable of generating complex spreadsheets and reports utilizing: Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Scheduling and forecast planning.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $63,500.00 - $118,500.00.
