LEAD STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN (INTERSTAGE ASSEMBLY & INTEGRATION) - 2ND SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of 8-10 technicians performing PAF bonding and drilling operations
- Maintain daily work schedule and update build plans, ensure technicians are performing daily tasks per the schedule, and update passdown to the next shift
- Perform interstage routing, bonding, sanding, painting, cleaning, and integration, among other processes
- Perform heavy lifts with high bay crane
- Ensure all resources are assigned prior to official start of shift with technicians allocated and aligned per the skill matrix
- Maintain safety and 5S policies on the floor
- Identify and resolve production blockers with the appropriate parties
- Monitor consumables usage
- Ensure all technicians are clocked into production work orders and working to the defined process time
- Conduct communication briefing at start of shift with technicians
- Schedule risk identification and mitigation
- Assist with the development of production processes for first time production yield
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Assist with stage integration FOD Control Plan
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, aviation, automotive, or manufacturing environment in a technical, hands-on capacity
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of experience as a structures technician at SpaceX
- Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment
- Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems, and propulsion engines
- Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
- Demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, manuals and reports
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) or similar operating system
- Ability to effectively lead in a team environment
- Demonstrated record of high-performance (rated 4/4 or above in previous review cycles)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm to 1:30am
- Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting (up to 25 lbs. unassisted), bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
- Must be willing to travel up to 5%
- Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg

Pay range:
Lead Structures Technician / Level 3: $30.00 - $38.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential
Lead Structures Technician / Level 4: $35.00 - $43.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential
Lead Structures Technician / Level 5: $40.00 - $50.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
