Fuel Tank Attendant to join our team in
Miami, Florida. As a critical member of our safety team, the Fuel Tank Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of personnel working in confined spaces, ensuring compliance with entry protocols, and responding swiftly to emergencies when required. This is an
entry-level position, with
on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Confined Space Monitoring: Maintain clear communication with entrants and monitor their well-being throughout the job.
- Entry Protocol Compliance: Ensure that all confined space entry permits are properly completed, signed by the entry supervisor, and conditions are met before work begins.
- Tracking Entrants: Maintain an accurate count of authorized entrants and prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the confined space.
- Safety Communication: Stay outside the confined space and maintain constant communication with entrants to monitor their status and alert them when evacuation is necessary.
- Emergency Response: Initiate evacuation and emergency procedures as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed promptly.
- Work Environment: Must be able to work in various challenging conditions, including working at heights and wearing a harness with a 200 lb. weight limit.
- Flexible Schedule: Be prepared to work a flexible schedule and adjust to job requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- No experience required: This is an entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to learn and understand confined space safety procedures quickly.
- Strong communication skills for maintaining contact with entrants and the runner.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Must meet the physical requirements, including the ability to wear a harness and comply with the 200 lb. weight limit.
