Role Introduction
Reports to: Digital Learning Content Lead
This role is part of our Digital Learning Content team in Cathay Academy, our Learning and Development (L&D) department who is dedicated to maintain Cathay’s progressiveness as we strive to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.
As the Assistant Manager, you will be a key contributor in driving the implementation of Phase 1 of the Virtual Reality (VR) Digital Learning project, with a focus on inflight services training programmes. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful integration of VR in training initiatives. You will also be organising and conducting workshops to smoothen the transition to VR technology for both trainers and trainees.
With your expertise L&D software and VR technology, you will be an integral part in Cathay’s continuous journey in providing our customers a seamless experience by being at the forefront of innovations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to Digital Learning Content Lead and other internal stakeholders, ensuring the Phase 1 of the VR Digital Learning project is being delivered on time and in high quality
- Coordinate and execute virtual reality training content curation and implementation with external vendor and internal subject matter experts, including scheduling, managing resources, collecting user requirements and resolving training-related issues
- Contribute to ensure the quality and effectiveness of virtual reality training programmes through testing and gathering user feedback
- Assist in coaching trainers and learners in using VR technology for training purposes
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in VR technology to bring continuous improvement of virtual reality training experiences
- Facilitate the design, development and curriculum integration of other digital learning projects, if required
- Support the wider Digital Learning Content team, if required, to develop engaging storyboards, video scripts, and other materials based on different forms of digital learning course design
Requirements
- Degree holder, preferably related to game software design, mixed reality or Learning and Development related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in eLearning or digital learning development
- Solid project management skills with proven experience in managing enhancement and/or eLearning / digital learning development projects
- Strong knowledge of virtual reality (VR) technology, computer game design principles, and gamified learning
- Familiarity with game development tools, such as Unity or Unreal Engine, and experience in creating interactive and engaging VR experiences is highly desirable
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training delivery platforms is desirable
- Good command of English and Chinese, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
