Honeywell
is currently recruiting a high caliber, seasoned Director Product Management to
lead our Aerospace and Defense sensing portfolio within Honeywell Sensing
Solutions (HSS) business. This entails setting the strategy and portfolio
lifecycle goals for the Aerospace and Defense portfolio of switches, sensors
and controls sensor solutions as well as innovating new technologies and
solutions within these markets and applications.
As a Director of Offering Management focused on Aerospace
and Defense Sensing Portfolio here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role
in driving growth and profitability by aligning our offerings with growth
industries and end segments. You will be responsible for developing and
executing strategies to expand our Aerospace and Defense Sensing portfolio and
capture market opportunities in high-growth sectors. Your strong leadership
skills, strategic thinking, coupled with Aerospace and Defense market insights
will be essential in driving the success of our business.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on our
strategic direction, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market share
expansion. You will drive key metrics including
revenue, pricing, delivery and market share. You will have direct
responsibility for employees in offering management and provide direction for
R&D efforts. This role requires a strong capability for portfolio
management, customer and factory engagement, roadmap and innovation and 80/20
expertise.
Ideal Candidate Experience:
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in product management, offering management, or related roles, with significant experience in portfolio management and leadership positions.
- Previous experience leading an offering management function with a focus on portfolio growth
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving business growth through effective portfolio management.
- Strong ability to identify growth industries segments with high market potential
- Experience with developing and executing strategies to expand portfolio’s alignment with growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new offerings targeted at growth industries.
- Developed pricing and go-to-market strategies to maximize revenue and market share
- Monitored and track portfolio performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize growth
- A well-developed understanding and experience of the Aerospace and / or Defense industry and market trends in all geographies
Key
Responsibilities:
Portfolio
Strategy and Development:
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for the company’s Aerospace and Defense Sensing product portfolio, encompassing both existing products and new offerings.
- Conduct market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive assessments to identify market trends, opportunities, and portfolio gaps.
- Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability.
Product
Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of Aerospace and Defense Sensing products within the portfolio, from concept development through to end-of-life decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to define product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and product differentiation strategies.
- Monitor product performance metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, and make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio performance.
Stakeholder
Management and Collaboration:
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market dynamics.
- Foster collaboration and alignment across departments to drive portfolio growth and profitability.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to drive co-development opportunities and enhance product offerings.
Continuous
Improvement and Innovation:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the Aerospace and Defense Sensing portfolio.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Champion a culture of innovation and excellence within the offering management team, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
