Founded in 2018, Skyports is an Advanced Air Mobility company developing and operating landing infrastructure for the electric air taxi revolution, as well as using drones to solve words most complex problems across delivery, survey and inspection.

- Skyports Drone Services, where we use drone technology to enable businesses to develop their logistics, capture key data, and improve operational efficiency. We are active in rural deliveries, survey, surveillance, and maritime verticals.
- Skyports Infrastructure, where we play a critical role in the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem; designing, building, owning, and operating vertiports that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in and around cities across the world.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Commercial based in London UK, we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead Skyports Drone Services’ (SDS) expansion in the USA. Based in Miami, you will be the face of SDS in the region, responsible for securing and executing existing opportunities, generating new leads, and developing and managing relationships with key decision-makers across various industries.
You will work closely with the SDS senior leadership team based in London and other regional teams to deliver highly ambitious projects and ensure operational excellence.
You will:
- Identify, pursue, and secure commercial opportunities across drone delivery, linear asset infrastructure, and monitoring sectors, focusing on high-value markets like medical deliveries, powerline inspections, and surveillance solutions.
- Build and grow SDS’ USA presence by establishing direct relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, and industry partners.
- Create tailored bid and proposal materials for top-tier clients, ensuring quality and alignment with their needs.
- Analyse markets and customer insights to refine strategies and uncover new opportunities.
- Manage high-profile accounts, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Collaborate with SDS’ teams in London to ensure business development aligns with regulatory, operational, and technological standards.
Your success will be measured by:
- The speed and efficiency with which you establish drone operations in the USA
- The rapid expansion and scalability of these operations to new clients and industries.
- The ability to independently secure and grow long-term, high-value commercial relationships.
The ideal candidate has:
- Proven experience in growing a company’s presence in a new market; experience in the USA is preferred.
- A track record of success in high-growth companies.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
- Experience in managing a 360 sales process in a B2B environment with long sales cycles.
- Experience in the drone industry or familiarity with the aviation and/or drone industries.
- A strong ability to embrace discomfort and navigate ambiguity in a nascent industry.
