Finance Manager IT & Data
TEAM
As a key member of the Investment Finance team, which itself sits in Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will report into the Senior Finance Manager responsible for IT, Data & Change (ITD&C) and E-Commerce. The team’s key objective is business partnering the ITD&C function (which includes the easyJet Airline change portfolio) as well as the E-Commerce team.
This role will support the IT Leadership Team (ITDLT) and IT function offering exposure to senior stakeholders and covering a large, complicated and varied function where there is scope to provide strategic insight and true value add. The Finance Manager will need to be able to work closely with senior members of non-finance teams to support the delivery of multiple priorities, as well as work with the wider Finance team to provide input to monthly management reporting, regular reforecasting and quarterly external reporting regarding the ITD&C finances.

> Provide insight on key cost drivers, working with the function with continuous focus on cost control
Job Accountabilities
Business Partnering / FP&A
> Provides a true business partner framework to the ITD&C function, ensuring that the business owners are supported with the right insight and information at all times. Business partnering with cross functional stakeholders including the wider finance team, IT and procurement to ensure seamless communication and integrity of results and forecasts.
> Accurately forecast future performance (monthly PBT and annual planning processes), understand differences between actuals and forecasts, undertake related analysis (including insight and recommendations), ensure that risks and opportunities for each function are owned and managed and drive continuous improvements in the forecasting process
> Understanding the detail (at product and supplier level) within each cost centre, aware of movements in actuals and forecasts compared vs budget and latest forecast, including tracking risks and opportunities
> Continuous focus on cost, FinOps and other opportunities on journey to achieving the 5 year strategic plan spend target. This includes fostering a close working relationship with procurement, as well as the EDGE cost saving initiative team.
> Business partner IT projects, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, with regular updates on benefit forecasts and ensuring project team are held to account to commitments made to InvestCo.
> Responsible for end to end project forecasting and reporting process, ensuring periodic forecast updates are obtained from Project Managers, and regular updates are provided to the Change team within IT.
People Leadership, Relationships and Influence
> Co-ordinating inputs from cost centre owners across the function and managing them to ensure deadlines are adhered to
> Maintaining effective cross functional relationships
> Providing subject matter expertise to a diverse and demanding set of stakeholders
> Identifying opportunities that could be reviewed as part of a deep dive process. Supporting any deep dives with analysis and strategic input / oversight
> Working with and mentoring junior members of the team
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS & FINANCIAL TARGETS
> Monthly reporting and underlying processes are delivered within deadlines at all times (e.g. KNF, Factbook, PBT etc).
> Month end budget variance analysis is consolidated accurately with clear summary explanations as to material movements, and investigations / deep dives instigated where required
> Deliver key insight on IT costs for AMB/PLC reporting
> Preparation and leadership on 5 year strategic plan and Budget for ITD&C, with laser focus on cost
> Support delivery of cost initiatives for ITD&C function, providing analysis, challenge and monitoring
> Key deliverables on ad hoc projects as required by Senior Finance Manager for Corporate and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
