The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Support Coordinator to oversee various critical tasks related to flight scheduling, customer re-protection, IROPS, system management, and internal/external communication. This role requires a strong understanding of airline operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring top-notch customer service.
What You’ll Do:
- Flight Schedule Management: Oversee and track seasonal flight schedule input, changes, cancellations. Ensure customer advisements are timely and accurately communicated. Source flight alternatives as needed. Support e-package related queries.
- Manage airline reservations: Monitor airline block space and balance reservations between multiple systems. Troubleshoot as necessary.
- IROPS Management: Guide the team through Irregular Operations (IROPS), ensuring clear communication to both employees and customers. Update booking terms based on IROP type and collaborate with leadership to implement necessary revisions. Support in destination teams as needed.
- Product and service documentation: Create, update and share content with internal teams to launch and support new and existing services.
- Task Management: Efficiently track daily tasks and oversee execution for a team on rotating shifts. Monitor shared email inboxes and daily qc reports.
- Technical Support: Responsible for department applications including development, testing, trouble shooting and documentation.
- Training and Documentation: Provide training for new hires and ongoing support. Maintain and update training materials and the department's SharePoint site.
- Available to provide evening/weekend coverage if required
What You’ll Need:
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in flight scheduling, system management, and customer communications.
- Problem Solving: Address complex issues such as overbookings and IROPS effectively while balancing customer satisfaction and business needs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external correspondence.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with tools like Salesforce, Monday.com, and GDS systems. Knowledge of TTS and Sabre an asset.
- Travel industry experience and/or Travel & Tourism program certification an asset
