Job Overview:
Deliver training on Baggage Portfolio Products, ensuring high-quality instruction for internal teams and external customers. As a Senior Trainer, you will also support instructional design initiatives by developing and maintaining training materials, creating interactive learning experiences, and continuously updating content based on feedback and product evolution.
Job Responsibilities
Training Delivery:
- Conduct functional training on WorldTracer, Bag Genie, Bag Journey, and other SITA baggage portfolio products.
- Deliver customer training both remotely and on-site as required by business needs.
- Provide hands-on training sessions for system administrators and agents within the Business Process Owner (BPO).
- Offer refresher trainings and upskill agents as new team members join the BPO.
- Maintain up-to-date certification and training status for all agents and ensure certification renewals as needed.
- Use adaptive training methods to address individual learning needs, ensuring high engagement and retention.
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), product managers, and technical writers to design and develop training materials, including eLearning modules, online help, and interactive tools.
- Continuously update and enhance training materials to reflect product changes and feedback from trained agents.
- Utilize instructional design methodologies to create engaging, learner-centered content.
- Develop assessments and evaluate training effectiveness to ensure a positive impact on service quality.
- Leverage technology (e.g., learning management systems, video conferencing tools) to develop blended learning solutions.
Tech Stack & Tools
- Advanced user knowledge of WorldTracer, Bag Manager, and Bag Journey.
- Proficiency in content development tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Cornerstone, Moodle, or similar platforms.
- Expertise in productivity and documentation tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Word, and SharePoint.
Continuous Learning & Development
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in baggage handling technology and instructional design best practices.
- Continuously gather feedback from learners to improve training content and methodology.
- Assist in the development and mentorship of other trainers, ensuring consistency and quality across the training team.
- Regularly review and update training content to ensure it is current, effective, and aligned with business objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Trainer Agent and agents within the BPO.
- Monitor service quality to ensure that training is fit for purpose.
- Travel beyond the local market to deliver training and support new team members as needed.
- Support large customer projects by developing and implementing customized training plans.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in WorldTracer, Bag Manager, and/or Bag Journey preferred.
- Experience in instructional design, eLearning development, and training delivery.
- Strong knowledge of airport operations and baggage processes.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Flexibility to conduct training across multiple time zones.
- Experience with online instructional tools and the ability to create engaging, interactive content.
- Familiarity with learning theories and instructional methodologies.
- Strong consultancy skills with an ability to adopt a consultative approach to training.
