The role
As a Vendor Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Interpreting, validating, maintaining and updating supplier master records on behalf of the Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function, including the provision of reporting & analytical support within the Shared Service Team & externally to customers as required.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure the Approved Vendor List supports all business requirements, manage risk and remove any non-value adding activity to enable an efficient and effective supplier assurance activity to be in place.
- Coordinating supplier assurance activity to maintain the Approved Vendor List for all sectors of Babcock International Group.
- Support Vendor Management activities across the group, including new supplier requests, on boarding process, maintenance and vendor list management.
- Support reporting on all aspects of supplier on-boarding, maintenance, assurance activities and providing administrative & analytical support.
- Execute supplier on-boarding expediting, escalation process and identify & deliver efficiency & effectiveness benefits through continuous improvement.
- Support engagement with business to drive improvement in KPI performance, maintaining and assuring delivery of SLAs and assure master data compliance.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with occasional travel being required.
Essential experience of the Vendor Administrator:
- Experience in administration
- Understanding of data and document management (including version control)
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience of working with high volumes and responding to multiple priorities effectively in parallel
- Hands on approach; Problem solver
