ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our corporate platform within the Information Services Organization. In this role, you will oversee the strategy, execution, and delivery of corporate services, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for driving innovation, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. This role will report to the CIO.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Organizational Transformation and Operations:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive change and achieve long-term goals.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and support throughout the transformation process.
- Oversee the adoption of new processes and technologies, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing resistance.
Delivery and Execution:
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to ensure successful product delivery and lifecycle management.
- Manage and optimize the backlog, ensuring work aligns with product objectives and technical feasibility.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value and vice versa.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, vendors, and partners.
- Advocate for customer-centric solutions, driving the adoption of cloud and infrastructure services that meet user needs.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to executives and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and security of infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and team performance.
- Drive a continuous feedback loop with users to ensure solutions evolve with changing needs.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus.
- 7-10 years relevant experience in managing a technology group, preferably within Cloud and Infrastructure environment.
- Proven experience as a Product/Program Manager or similar leadership role in infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Corporate platforms (Finance, Operations, Sales etc), virtualization, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to develop product roadmaps, manage backlogs, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in Agile frameworks and tools like Jira or similar.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Experience with budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.), virtualization, networking, and IT infrastructure.
