Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Flight operations entail the pilot resources, flight planning, flight competence optimization, coordination of and compliance to regulations as well as operational maintenance and ground operations. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes. Finnair Technical Operations is looking for a MANAGER, OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE to enhance material availability, steer suppliers and enhance cost efficiency. To contribute for those targets you will identify, lead and implement continuous improvements within the Supply Chain team processes and across the organization as well with external stakeholders. This is an interesting opportunity to work in the aviation supply chain and to combine development, supplier steering and self-analytics to improve business results at the core of aviation. This position is in the Supply Chain department of the Finnair Technical Operations and reports to Head of Supply Chain, this role does not include line manager responsibilities. Our working languages are Finnish and English. Main responsibilities: Managing and leading process improvement projects of the Supply Chain department in a cross-functional matrix environment Driving your change projects against agreed schedules; delivering on time Creating and maintaining the KPI management systems for the operational team functions Fostering end-to-end process optimization in cross-collaboration with Technical Operations-wide team functions Supporting and joining regular operational meetings with vendors and aircraft maintenance service providers, identifying and implementing improvement areas Foster a culture of proactive continuous improvement. Our expectations: Outstanding skills in project management and change management Hands-on experience with successful implementation of continuous improvement / Kaizen practices Experience in leading cross-functional project teams Analytical and commercial mindset and skills End-to-end process thinking to improve the overall business results Ability to identify improvement opportunities with greatest impact and turn them into timely managed action plans Bachelor or equivalent in a suitable field of studies or corresponding knowledge and skills regarding aviation industry or logistics Experience in logistics/materials handling/spare part operations/aircraft maintenance and process development experience within the aviation industry are considered an asset.
