Role Purpose
This role provides essential support to the Distribution System Support New Distribution Capability (NDC) team within the Distribution Department. The role has interdependency within other areas within the department such as Global Distribution System (GDS) Aggregators using NDC as a platform, Billing, NDC and Help Desk. Each area has assigned teams and collaborates under one department. The role reports to supervisor responsible for NDC.
We are looking for a technically skilled and proactive “Executive – NDC” to support our airline’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) initiative. This role focuses on managing partner onboarding, providing technical support for Application Programming Interface (API) integrations, and reviewing API documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with web services (XML, SOAP, REST) and API testing (Postman or similar testing platforms).
Key Accountability
- Support immediate supervisors for all technical and operational matters including API related queries, test and validate payloads, troubleshoot integration flows, onboarding assistance and post go-live directly.
- Direct connect onboarding process. These could be a variety of travel partners (OTAs, TMCs, aggregators), integrating via NDC APIs.
- Ensure API documentation remains current with evolving IATA NDC standards and product changes.
- Plan and develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts to enhance MH product features and functionalities.
- Provide cross-functional support to Sales, Finance, Pricing, Revenue Management, and Enrich teams for issues related to NDC via the immediate supervisor. Assist with Contract preparation, compliance and submission to internal systems in coordination with Manager, Distribution and Senior Executive NDC.
- Coordinate with the NDC Helpdesk by escalating or resolving complaints or queries from partners and other stakeholders. Maintain a clear record of escalations.
- Perform any other duties by the department or attend meetings/assignments as requested by Business Unit Head, Manager Distribution or immediate supervisor.
Qualification & Working Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Basic scripting, ability to read XML and JSON payloads.
- Familiar with web services (XML, SOAP, REST), and API testing (Postman) and similar testing platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Additional knowledge of analytics, finance or financial costing to support data driven decision making is an added advantage.
- Able to work efficiently and independently, while also sharing knowledge and expertise with others.
