Basic Function:
The role is responsible in assisting the Country Manager or Area Manager with overall sales duties. Promotes the company and handles liaising with travel agents to ensure Philippine Airlines’ distribution channel is updated of its products and services; thereby meeting the targeted sales growth and profit objectives.
Major Responsibility Areas:
- Provides support in executing the overall sales and marketing plan of the district by regularly visiting the travel agents, assigned accounts, and customers
- Establishes and maintains cordial and effective relationships with key personnel in the travel agencies/ industry. Must be excellent at prospecting and expanding market share at existing accounts. Initiates and orchestrates regular client visits
- Coordinates, assist and handles the resolution of issues/concerns raised by travel agents on matters pertaining to product, pricing and services.
- Organizes, coordinates and conducts product update/briefing for travel agents and represent Philippine Airlines in travel shows, trade fairs, community events, conventions and other industry/sales related functions
- Provides proactive and aggressive sales and promotion strategies and activities for immediate reaction to rapid market changes and competition
Qualification and Experience:
- At least 2 years of successful sales and marketing experience;
- Knowledgeable of reservations and ticketing and airport operations
- Must be fluent in English and have good writing and communication skills
- Experience in sales travel or airline sales is highly preferred
