I. BASIC FUNCTION
· Provide overall functional and operational leadership through directing and overseeing all sales and operations activities of the assigned country/ region.
· Develop, lead, coordinate (with all concerned functional groups) and execute the business plans and programs of the assigned country/ region within the corporate strategies and parameters with the objective of maximizing revenue and profit generation via all distribution channels.
· Establish goodwill with customers and with the community
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Responsibility 1: SALES MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement effective and innovative sales and marketing campaigns, within agreed timescales and budget, through dynamic and effective leadership. Direct and monitor sales performance in order to achieve/exceed revenue and profit targets set for the assigned country/ region.
Responsibility 2: BUSINESS PLANNING AND FORECASTING
Prepare annual operating plans/ budgets, sales forecasts and tactical plans in order to build and grow the assigned territory’s business.
Responsibility 3: CROSS FUNCTIONAL INTERFACE AND INTEGRATION
Provide leadership, coordinate and monitor the company’s sales and airport operational activities in order to ensure smooth and efficient business operations in the assigned country/ region.
Responsibility 4: ORGANIZATION AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
Plan manpower needs, select, evaluate, motivate, train and develop personnel IN ORDER TO build talent and sustain a competent workforce.
Responsibility 5: FINANCIAL RESOURCE AND COST MANAGEMENT
Plan, manage and monitor the country/ region’s financial resources and costs in order to ensure achievement of profitability targets.
Responsibility 6: SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Tasks:
Complies with applicable regulations and standards of Philippine Airlines; actively involved with PAL Safety Management System by reporting all accidents, incidents and any hazard in the workplace; and being safety conscious by exercising care and vigilance in performing duties
Responsibility 7: SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Task:
Adopts, helps implement and continuously improve our Security Management System (SeMS) thru the delivery of high level performance to meet Company security standards and ensure compliance to National and International regulations.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• University or college degree
• Must be a US citizen/ authorized to work in the US
Experience:
• 8-10 years airline sales experience, 5 years at management level
• Proven track record/exposure in international airline sales and marketing, passenger ticketing and reservations
