Brief about the role:
The Manager – Crew Rostering will lead a team of crew rostering and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with DGCA regulations and IndiGo policies while driving operational efficiency across multiple crew bases. The role requires strong leadership, system expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Crew Optimization, Scheduling, Training, and OCC. The ideal candidate will have experience in crew management systems, project implementation, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field
- Post-graduation or Project Management certification is an advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of overall experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role in crew rostering or related domain
- Airline experience and familiarity with DGCA regulations preferred
Skill set:
- Proficiency in crew management systems (AIMS, Jeppesen) and MS Office tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation abilities
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and operational processes
Job responsibility:
- Oversee end-to-end crew roster planning across multiple bases, ensuring compliance and efficiency
- Collaborate with Crew Optimization, Scheduling, Training, and OCC teams to align rosters with operational needs
- Monitor and configure rostering systems (AIMS, Jeppesen) for accuracy and compliance
- Lead system upgrades, UAT, and implementation of new functionalities
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, user guides, and project progress
- Provide timely feedback to optimization teams for improving crew productivity
- Present data insights and reports to senior leadership for decision-making
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices
- Ensure timely resolution of crew queries and support rostering team operations
