Job Summary

The classification of Supervisor Ramp Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling airport activities for Ramp Services. Monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area; Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.

Responsibilities

Acts as company representative when assigned.
Coordinates with all departments to ensure operational needs are met
Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 80 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas lift, push or pull and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers with/to aircraft.
Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicle with attached carts through congested area. Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of cargo.
Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material, export at the designated express docks,
Completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described.
Ability to confront and question unauthorized personnel in secured areas, and report their presence to authorities as necessary.
Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.

Minimum Requirements

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.

Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.
Ability to handle stress. Work with minimal supervision.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Work in a high noise level environment.
