Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes. We are now looking for a development-oriented person with excellent leadership skills for Technical Operations’ organization to a role of HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN who will lead and develop the Technical Operations’ Supply Chain organization according to group strategy and Technical Operations’ business needs and best market practices. In the role, you will lead an organization of approximately 100 internal and external supply chain and logistics professionals. Flight safety, occupational safety, employee well-being, materials availability, quality and purchasing costs as well as inventory value are priorities in your function responsibilities. Main responsibilities: Overall leadership of the supply chain operations within Finnair's Technical Operations. Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with Finnair's overall business objectives. Manage relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Optimize inventory management and logistics processes. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and Finnair's sustainability commitments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function, to work with standardized processes, utilizing data and providing maintenance operations with timely material flows. We expect you to have: Strong will to lead people to succeed and balance workload and well-being in hectic 24/7 operations. Ability to develop and execute strategies and plans aligned with business objectives. Comprehensive knowledge of airline operations, preferably in supply chain management, procurement. Understanding of industry standards and compliance relevant to aircraft maintenance and supply chain management. Continuous improvement, analytical mindset, understanding of data utilization, industrial processes and LEAN. Solid skills to negotiate and manage relations with external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors. Applicable commercial and/or technical education, preferred BSc or MSc level or other applicable and extensive experience in the areas of responsibility.
