Component Design Engineer (m/w/d)
As a Component Design Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of components across the full development lifecycle, from early concept through detailed design and testing. You will play a key role in translating system requirements into robust, manufacturable and high-performance designs, and supporting their validation in a prototype environment.
Your tasks in detail:
- Translating system-level requirements into robust, manufacturable 3D and 2D detailed designs suitable for aerospace applications
- Applying 0D/1D/3D simulation methods to assess performance, identify risks, and guide design decisions
- Supporting and leading prototype builds and component assembly, including hands-on involvement where required
- Defining validation strategies and developing test setups and rigs to verify component functionality and performance
- Executing and evaluating test campaigns, driving design iterations based on test results
- Creating and maintaining high-quality engineering documentation to support design reviews and certification activities
Your profile:
- A degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s); backgrounds in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering are a plus
- Several years of experience in an engineering role within a complex or fast-paced environment
- Strong motivation to learn, grow, and take ownership, combined with technical curiosity
- Solid engineering fundamentals and the ability to apply theory to real-world development
- Experience in one or more technical domains such as mechanical systems, thermal design, turbomachines, acoustics, or electric machines
- Familiarity with data acquisition, CAD (e.g. CATIA), and simulation tools (FEA) is a plus
