The role is responsible for carrying out routine and non-routine aircraft technical handling and defect rectification.
The role will also undertake the servicing, maintenance, and technical handling of aircraft in accordance with company and CAAM-approved methods and procedures.
Job Description
- To perform ground technical handling, routine, and non-routine maintenance and servicing checks, and any other maintenance activities as required on the aircraft.
- To assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in performing maintenance activities through efficient retrieval/interpretation of aircraft maintenance documents and interphase with the system in raising paperwork, clocking man hours, and ordering spares.
- To be accountable for clocked man hours of tasks.
- To ensure the tasks given are completed within the time frame and to inform the immediate superior of any problems or difficulties.
- Ensure possession of adequate tools and equipment and good housekeeping of zone/work area for performing maintenance activities.
- To clearly understand regulations and policies governing aircraft maintenance at the Base Maintenance / Line Maintenance Services Department.
- To prepare the accident/incident and/or occurrence report of any accident/incident and submit the report to the immediate superior.
- To raise Equipment Defect Report for any discrepancy of defect on ground equipment used on the aircraft.
- To maintain good timekeeping and discipline.
- To carry out housekeeping in the working area after completion of any task.
- To maintain high cleanliness in the working areas, office, crew room, and holding room.
- To ensure equipment, property, and facilities are regularly maintained and associated records are kept.
- To ensure all motorized vehicles allocated to the Base Maintenance Services Department are properly utilized and monitor the usage and condition.
- To ensure all maintenance inventories such as tooling and equipment are maintained in clean and proper working/serviceable conditions.
- Ensure all parts/spares taken from designated stores are recorded and inspect the items for general condition before taking them out of the store.
- Obtain Airside Driving Permit from the relevant airport authorities.
- Attend scheduled or standby backup as required to support maintenance operations.
- Checks other tasks assigned by LEO / LAE.
