About the team you are joining
As Manager, Cloud Engineering, you will lead the management and
optimization of IATA’s cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Google
Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. Reporting to the Tech Lead Cloud Engineering, you
will ensure adherence to IATA’s Unified Infrastructure standards, drive
automation, and enhance the DevSecOps lifecycle.
What your day would be like
Oversee day-to-day operations of GCP, AWS, and on-premises environments.
Optimize cloud performance and costs across platforms.
Design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
Participate in projects and RFPs that require cloud Infrastructure or general IT operational needs.
Manage infrastructure deployments using automation tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, etc.).
Support CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot OS, application, and network issues.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to deliver well-architected solutions.
Deploy and support the infrastructure for full stack applications
Maintain identity and DNS services (Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Cloudflare).
Partner with internal teams and IT providers for application onboarding, operations and monitoring with Datadog.

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
More than 5 years of experience in cloud engineering including hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GKE, VPC, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Vertex AI). GCP certification is a plus.
Proven hands-on AWS experience (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS, API Gateway). AWS certification is a plus.
Proficiency in DevOps tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm), scripting (Python, PowerShell) and monitoring (Datadog).
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and supporting Apache Kafka and AMQP-based messaging platforms (such as RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ) in cloud environments (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
Ability to mentor other team members and collaborate in a diverse, international team.
