Job Description
We are looking for a Fresher/Entry-Level DevOps Engineer who is excited to learn and work on CI/CD automation, cloud/infrastructure fundamentals, and developer productivity. The ideal candidate is comfortable with Python scripting and GitHub + GitHub Actions for building and maintaining automation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python
- Maintain repositories, branching practices, and release workflows using GitHub
- Create and manage build/test/deploy workflows for applications (starting with non-production environments)
- Write and maintain documentation (runbooks, pipeline docs, deployment steps)
- Assist with monitoring/logging setup and basic incident troubleshooting
- Collaborate with developers to improve build reliability and deployment consistency
- Follow security best practices (secrets management, least privilege, scanning)
Qualifications
- Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Python
- Hands-on understanding of GitHub (repos, branches, PRs, code review basics)
- Exposure to GitHub Actions (workflows, jobs/steps, runners, secrets, artifacts)
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals (files, permissions, basic commands)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts (build, test, deploy stages)
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
