Role Introduction
Cathay Pacific is looking for a
Marketing & PR Coordinator (9‑month Fixed-Term Contract - replacement reason) to support our Brand, Insights & Marketing Communications activities across Europe.
Based in
Neuilly-sur-Seine (92), France, the successful candidate will support the Regional Marketing Manager and collaborate closely with local markets, agencies, and Head Office teams.
Your mission? To help protect, promote, and enhance the Cathay Pacific brand by coordinating marketing initiatives, adapting global and regional content for local markets, strengthening media relations, and contributing to social media and PR activities with strong local insights.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Localisation
- Adapt global and regional marketing materials for effective local use
- Prepare marketing briefs and coordinate with regional teams to support local needs (collateral, digital content, promotional campaigns)
- Ensure appropriate stock levels of local marketing collateral
- Assist with local sales and trade events when required
- Support initiatives to increase digital sales penetration
Public Relations & Media
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local media, influencers, bloggers, and key opinion leaders
- Support local media events, press trips, interviews, and public speaking engagements
- Create and pitch locally relevant stories to enhance Cathay Pacific’s brand visibility
- Collaborate with regional and Head Office PR teams on emergency and accident communications when required
Social Media & Digital
- Recommend social media content aligned with local insights
- Adapt global and regional content for local platforms
- Coordinate with agencies for content delivery
Customer Relations (when applicable)
- Manage local Customer Relations cases in Outports without a dedicated CR role
- Prepare templates and responses in French, and coordinate with legal and regulatory bodies when required
- Contribute to protecting the brand through timely, professional responses
Insights & Reporting
- Provide monthly market insights and competitive intelligence to regional stakeholders
- Identify local loyalty opportunities (earn & burn) and support Member engagement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing and/or public relations
- Fluent in spoken and written English & French
- Strong understanding of media needs and local storytelling angles
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Naturally aligned with Cathay Pacific’s communication style
- Ability to work outside office hours for urgent Corporate Affairs matters when necessary
