Who Are We Looking For?

- Background in financial or managerial accounting is preferred.
- Exposure to the airline cargo industry, particularly in sales or operations, is an advantage.

What’s the Role About?
The Cargo Business Planning Specialist supports the development, maintenance, and monitoring of cargo business planning models and performance tracking tools. Working under the guidance of the Manager – Cargo Business Planning and in close coordination with Sales and Revenue Management teams, the role contributes to achieving cargo revenue targets through budgeting, performance analysis, and strategic business evaluation.
Major Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, recalibration, and maintenance of the Cargo Revenue Budget, Value in Use (VIU) computations for asset impairment, and Five-Year Business Plans through robust planning workbooks and models.
- Analyze, review, and consolidate operating expense (OPEX) and capital expense (CAPEX) budget inputs submitted by budget coordinators.
- Develop and maintain performance monitoring workbooks that provide monthly and year-to-date analysis of cargo sales versus approved budgets.
- Prepare and maintain subscription summaries and analytical dashboards (e.g., IATA Market Focus, WorldACD, CAB) for internal monitoring and decision support.
- Analyze revenue performance variances against budget, identifying the financial impact of key drivers such as operational plan changes, market conditions, and seasonality, particularly for international operations.
- Develop and maintain financial evaluation models for new business development initiatives, including GSA selection, renewal, and termination assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, presentations, and analytical materials required by Head Office.
