Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs on the System Integration, Test, and Readiness (SITR) contract. In this role, you will be a Systems Engineer responsible for the integration and test of Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) products in the GMD Development and Integration Lab (GDIL) assisting in lab build-up and execution of upgrades, both hardware and software, of all GMD elements. You will develop and release related Test Plans, Procedures, and Engineering required to support test execution and be positioned to support the customer to execute critical testing in different lab environments.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Provide Integration and Execution Support in a lab environment.
Lead integration activities and implementation of the System Under Test (SUT) and support test execution activities.
Collaborate with teams of engineers, system administrators, network engineers console operators, product subject matter experts and subcontractors to coordinate all phases of integration, test, checkout and verification.
Review Engineering Documentation and prepare Test Readiness Review evidence and post-test reports.
Develop, review and release Test Plans and Procedures required for test execution.
Utilize engineering troubleshooting skills and configuration management best practices.
Openly communicate and collaborate across engineering and non-engineering functions.
Support relevant meetings, reviews, briefings and working groups.
Work effectively in a rapid pace team environment.
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires an active US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with program leaders and customers.
- Experience testing hardware and software in a secure environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Government contracts and/or sub-contracts experience.
- Experience and understanding of Cyber Security Requirements.
- Experience in GMD program.
- System of Systems Integration experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and identify root cause and recommend solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
- Test conductor experience testing Ground Base Interceptors (GBIs).

Summary Pay Range:

$89,000 - $138,000
