About the team you are joining
Reporting to
the Directory of Technology Operations, the Head of IT, BJS, you will be
responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of regional IT strategy,
operations, and service delivery across the NASIA region. This role will be
pivotal in enabling the NASIA region meet industry and internal technology
objectives as well as act as the link between Head Office and the regional
office.
In this role, you will ensure that regional IT capabilities are aligned with
global I&D strategy, Unified Infrastructure standards, and business
objectives, while remaining compliant with local regulatory requirements. You
will lead a regional IT team, manage strategic vendors, and drive the adoption
of secure, resilient, and efficient technology solutions that enable the
organization’s mission and growth in North Asia.
What your day would be like
- Lead, mentor, and manage the regional IT
team, providing direction, coaching, and professional development
opportunities.
- Develop and implement the regional IT
strategy and roadmap, aligned with global I&D priorities, Board
objectives, and divisional plans.
- Act as the senior IT advisor to regional
leadership, identifying opportunities where technology can improve
efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations,
ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of
infrastructure, applications, and end-user services.
- Ensure high levels of service quality and
user satisfaction across all IT support services in the NASIA region.
- Execute and govern regional and global IT
projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with
agreed scope.
- Manage the regional IT budget, including
forecasting, cost control, expenditure tracking, and reporting.
- Manage relationships with external
vendors, service providers, and partners, ensuring contractual compliance
and value for money.
- Partner closely with the I&D
Cybersecurity team to enforce security policies, controls, and best
practices to protect organizational data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with local laws,
regulations, and data protection requirements related to IT operations.
- Contribute to global I&D initiatives
and transformation programs, ensuring effective regional adoption.
- Work with the PPD / HR function to define and deliver
technology training programs that enhance digital skills and adoption
across the region.
- Ensure adherence to global IT governance,
standards, and procedures, including Unified Infrastructure and ITSM
practices.
We would love to hear from you if
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (equivalent experience may be considered); Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a senior IT management or leadership role.
- Strong experience managing enterprise IT environments, including infrastructure, applications, end-user services, and service management.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity, IT governance, risk management, and compliance in a regional or global context.
- Proven experience leading teams in a matrixed, international organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
