We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations Management to lead and oversee operations cells. This leader will focus on continuous improvement of operational processes across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of operations management, lean principles, and a track record of successfully managing and implementing change across multiple operations functions. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of operational best practices, drive change, and a commitment to driving innovation and collaboration across teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for all operations centers.
- Create, align, and execute operational strategies that enable business success and long-term growth
- Provide direction, mentorship, and performance management for a team of operations managers, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Lead the Operations team to achieve outstanding delivery, quality, and cost performance, while building functional capability and accountability
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly review metrics to assess the effectiveness of operational activities.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality, to identify root causes of delays or disruptions and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production, resource allocation, and workflow to drive improve OTD performance.
- Provide training, development opportunities, and succession planning for the operations management team.
- Foster a collaborative work environment to maximize team engagement and effectiveness.
- Strategic planning of manpower and material to support factory level loading and tactical planning on a daily basis to maximize labor and equipment utilization
- Advocate for change and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER: - 15+ years’ manufacturing experience within Aerospace Industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborative leadership behaviors that emphasize high goal setting, team empowerment and providing support.
- Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.
- The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.
- Strong background of leading in a fast-paced, high mix manufacturing

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
