Overview:
In this role, the Associate Engineer will actively participate in design, development, improvement and/or sustenance of Aircraft Safety Systems (Evacuation and/or Oxygen Systems) and its components. Provides onsite technical support to operations in Bengaluru. Collaborates with Engineering and Operations cross functional teams in India, USA and Germany.
Position: Associate Engineer - Mechanical Design (P1)
Primary Responsibilities:

- [endif]Participate in Engineering Change Management Process – Teamcenter / SAP.

- [endif]Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements, regulatory requirements, and cost.

- [endif]Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings, sketches.
[if !supportLists]
- [endif]Create 2D pattern drawing by extracting surface data from 3D models.
[if !supportLists]
- [endif]Working knowledge on CAD application – CREO 2.0 or above
[if !supportLists]
- [endif]Proficiency in CAD software (2D) – AutoCAD, Keycreator and other CAD (3D) – Catia, Unigraphics is desired.

- [endif]Should have knowledge in GD&T (ASME 14.5).

- [endif]Work experience on PLM tool – Teamcenter, SAP

- [endif]Proficiency in Microsoft office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- [endif]Team player with good interpersonal skills to work with cross functional team from Engineering, Operations and US & Germany customers.

- [endif]Attention to details to ensure high quality work for customers.

- [endif]Provide onsite technical support to Evacuation Systems Operations in Bengaluru (Site1 – Whitefield and Site4 – Aerospace SEZ).

- [endif]Experience on CI – Lean and/or 6 sigma / Root Cause Analysis
[if !supportLists]
- [endif]Communicates with business units in USA and Germany (effective written and verbal communication is required for the purpose of achieving successful job performance)
Basic Qualifications:

- [endif]1 to 2 years of Industry experience in Engineering Change Management, Sustenance Engineering, Redesign, CAD Activities and Manufacturing process.

- [endif]Bachelor's / master’s degree in mechanical engineering / mechanical design
Preferred Qualifications:

- [endif]Experience in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Process

- [endif]Minimum 1 years’ experience in CAD application – Creo 2.0 or above

- [endif]Knowledge of machine design, materials and manufacturing processes

- [endif]Sound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience in manufacturing problem solving.
