About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Country Manager, the successful candidate will
liaise with member airlines and other relevant industry and government
stakeholders across Colombia to maximize the value of IATA in terms of
representing and serving the airline industry.
What your day would be like
- Promote the economic and developmental benefits of commercial aviation to government bodies and local authorities.
- Implement regional campaigns in coordination with the regional office and relevant divisions, ensuring alignment with IATA’s strategic priorities and engaging the appropriate stakeholders.
- Advocate for best practices (international standards & best practices) by representing IATA in government and industry forums, including working groups and technical committees, to promote the adoption of global aviation standards.
- Support
member airlines and other industry stakeholders in the diagnosis, design,
and implementation of aviation industry initiatives.
- Build
and maintain close relationships with member airlines and other industry
stakeholders, including airports, regulators, ANSPs, DGCAs, tourism
agencies, airports, suppliers, and service providers.
- Develop
relationships with industry stakeholders to promote and sell IATA
commercial products and services.
- Any
other tasks as assigned by the Country Manager.
We would love to hear from you if
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or another relevant discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of professional / working experience, with at least five years of experience in a similar role.
- Aviation
industry background would be an asset.
- Outstanding
interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in complex
cross-cultural environments and establish personal relationships is
required.
- Excellent PC skills, particularity with MS Office applications, as well as familiarity with databases and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English. Knowledge of other relevant languages would be an asset.
- This is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be required to work three days from the office.
