ResponsibilitiesThis role performs Revenue / Accounts Receivable functions, and brings value to Spirit by maintaining, monitoring and reporting financial and accounting information for designated accounts.
- Calculate, issue and book receivables to company’s Business partners / third Parties. i.e .Partner Revenue, Loans and Borrows, Marketing Sales, Marketing Reimbursable and Airport Promotions, Aircraft Insurance claims, Aircraft Reserve Reimbursements, leased property, ALPA, AFA etc.
- Perform accounting functions (J. Entries), including maintenance of General Ledger Accounts Receivable/Revenue accounts.
- Solve discrepancies between billing and contractual terms.
- Develop, implement, and maintain controls and procedures to ensure accurate accounts receivable balances and timely collection of payments due to Spirit.
- Prepare financial and estimate reports related A/R designated accounts and provide to management i.e.Partner Revenue, ALPA, AFA, Parts and Loans, Marketing sales, etc.
- Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly and on time.
- Process monthly adjustments into AR accounts.
- Consistently monitor aged accounts receivable and follow-up.
- Close Process: Make monthly reconciliation of designated accounts (Partner Revenue, All AR, Allowance for Bad debt, Def.
- Revenue, Prepaid Credit card fees, Straight line $9FC Revenue, etc.), analyze account activity in order to provide analysis and explanation to management during close meetings.
- Ensure all designated internal deadlines surrounding close process are met.
- Ensure mathematical accuracy.
- Deliver clear, detailed communication with all internal and external customers, aiding in any matter related to AR.
- Serve as a reliable and helpful source of information.
- Manger the Accounting of Def.
- Rev Partner account.
- Perform internal controls (CAF, Contract, support documentation), over AR accounts accounting activity. (i.e Contract, CAF and support documentation for entries).
- Serve as a Back Up performing other roles within revenue accounting department i.e DPP and others.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of experience in
- Accurately analyze large groups of records for AR.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organization skills.
- Able to meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance and efficiently meet goals.
- Always maintain sensitive data confidential.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong analytical skills used to analyze relevant data and identify patterns, issues and/or trends.
- Low Activity Lifting Requirements: Seldom lift up to 10 lbs, such as small office supplies or documents. Pushing/Pulling: Seldom pushing/pulling of light items within the workspace. Standing/Sitting Requirements: Primarily seated work, with occasional standing for brief tasks. Bending/Kneeling/Reaching: Occasional reaching within arm’s length to retrieve materials. Coordination: Basic manual coordination for standard office tasks (e.g., typing, using office equipment). Vision/Auditory Requirements: Clear vision for reading documents and screens; clear hearing for standard communication. Environmental Conditions: Indoor, climate-controlled environment.
