We are now looking for a SENIOR MANAGER, PEOPLE & BUSINESS to act both strategic and hands-on people partner to the Finnair Digital and possible other Finnair’s group functions. In this role you will proactively support the unit leadership team and senior leaders in identifying organizational development opportunities and implementing the business strategy from a people perspective. You will be accountable for leading the people agenda and annual people processes within your business area, with the support of HR process owners. You will lead the development and implementation of the unit’s People Plan in alignment with Finnair’s overall people agenda. Also, you will be responsible for the units’ monthly people metrics and forecasting. In addition, you will play a transformational role in accelerating Finnair’s data literacy and AI capabilities across the company. Together with the Digital unit and business areas, you will identify and develop solutions to strengthen skills and readiness in this domain. Main responsibilities in your business area: Act as the business unit’s strategic people partner. Support our unit’s leadership teams and leaders in building the organization and strengthening its capabilities to drive Finnair’s strategy forward. Create and implement competence development initiatives on data and AI domain together with the business and HRD team. Lead the implementation of the People Plan and people processes across the unit. Support leaders with senior-level recruitments. Drive Finnair’s culture and values-based leadership. Support and develop wellbeing and workability topics. Maintain awareness and understanding of people data, including forecasting and analysis. From you, we wish: Minimum 6 years of experience in versatile people-related roles. Experienced HR professional with a strong background in partnering with leadership teams as a strategic business advisor. Ability to provide both high‑level strategic insight and hands‑on HR support when needed. Proven experience working within digital and IT domains. Expertise in capability development, ideally with a focus on data and AI. Relevant master’s degree. Strong team player with an independent, proactive, and development‑oriented working style. Customer‑centric and structured approach to new challenges, combined with a positive, practical mindset. Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English, and preferably also in Finnish.
