In this role you will be driving supplier readiness, operational execution, quality containment, and improvement initiatives for a key supplier who is critical to the success of the business. You will act as a cross-functional liaison, aligning internal stakeholders in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and the Program Office to achieve performance objectives and ensure long-term success. This role will be onsite in Bengaluru, India and/or at a local supplier.
Position: Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operational Excellence (P5)
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate meetings to set and maintain expectations, clarify deliverables, and drive alignment
- Monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring progress toward defined targets
- Communicate stakeholder improvement plans and lead periodic performance reviews
- Perform Supplier Readiness Assessments (SRAs), developing and driving gap closure plans
- Utilize Operational Capability Risk Assessment (ORCA) tools to determine capability and maturity levels
- Identify and remove barriers to delivery for the supplier, both within their business and ours
- Find CORE engagement opportunities to reduce lead-times and improve quality & delivery performance
- Coordinate internal and supplier containment activities across Operations and Quality Assurance
- Facilitate Root Cause and Corrective Action (RRCA) activities with supplier to address performance gaps
- Develop, implement, and track Improvement and Corrective Actions plans, internally and externally
- Escalate performance risks to crisis mode or tiger teams when required
- Support rapid response tiger teams to stabilize supplier performance in critical situations
- Drive alignment on sustainment strategies and lead closed-loop communications with the business
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience, or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Operations / Engineering / Quality and/or Supply Chain
- High-profile Project Management
- Continuous Improvement Tools and/or Toyota Production System
- Executive presentation preparation and delivery
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proven experience managing cross-functional improvement initiatives and crisis management
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets and KPIs
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action planning, and performance tracking tools
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills
- Six Sigma or Lean certification (Green Belt or higher).
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace industry regulations
- Experience with supplier assessments (e.g., SRA, OCRA, PPAP, APQP)
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and visualization tools like Power BI
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 50% travel is required to ensure operational execution (key operations and teams are located in the United Kingdom and the Philippines, as well as a global supply base)
