Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced EFB specialist to join our team and evaluate and implement new aircraft systems or modifications that will have an impact on our EFB systems.
The successful candidate will ensure that all operational procedures and processes are in place for any new or modified EFB system and will be responsible for planning and performing user acceptance tests on all EFB and other mobile applications/software installed on user devices.
They will also be responsible for defining and setting the requirements for existing and new EFB hardware/software, coordinating all EFB-related projects with relevant departments, and running the implementation of new solutions in coordination with the Chief Pilot - Technical.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and implement new aircraft systems or modifications that will have an impact on EFB systems
Ensure that all operational procedures and processes are in place for any new or modified EFB system
Plan and perform user acceptance tests on all EFB and other mobile applications/software installed on user devices
Define and set the requirements for existing and new EFB hardware/software
Coordinate all EFB-related projects with relevant departments
Run the implementation of new solutions in coordination with the Chief Pilot - Technical
Validate the MEL and SOP changes related to EFB and ensure that they are in accordance with regulatory requirements, working closely with the Performance Engineering and Fleet Management
Participate in Safety Risk Assessments related to the EFB and connectivity systems
Support Flight Operations Technical department in the selection process of EFB and connectivity options for new aircraft types
Optimize the workflow and processes between the EFB team and other divisions within the Flight Operations Technical department and other departments such as IT, Fleet Management, Finance, Engineering, etc.
Support the EFB system specialists with EFB updates
Maintain working relationships with internal and external entities
Skills & Attributes
Comprehensive knowledge of EFB systems, both installed and portable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good leadership skills with an ability to train and develop subordinates
Good knowledge of EFB related regulations
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of MACROS
Ability to track and complete tasks within the stipulated timeline
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Strong teamwork skills
Work Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Adequate experience with iOS/WIN tablet technologies (hardware and software)
Qualification
Graduate degree from a recognized University
Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in computer application
