Key responsibility:
•Establishing an independent quality system to monitor compliance with CAR 147 (Basic) requirements.
•Proposing all corrective actions necessary for eliminating non-compliance and ensuring that these corrective actions are initiated and when completed are efficient and meet their intended purpose.
•The exposition and associated manuals are amended as required.
•Establish effective Safety Management System for the department to monitor compliance with requirements of CAR147 and CAR 66 Licensing requirement and other requirements as laid down in various approved manual/expositions of the organization respectively.
•Define adequate policies & standards for compliance by all personnel associated with Engineering Training Organization. Review of the changes in the regulations periodically and incorporate the changes affecting the company functioning to company policies / procedures including the MTOE.
•Submission of the MTOE and any associated amendments, to the DGCA for approval.
•Establish and implement a quality audit program in which compliance with all training procedures are reviewed at regular intervals and completion of audits and production of audit reports) and ensure that any observed non-compliances or poor standards are brought to the attention of the person concerned via his/her manager.
•Responsible for proposing all corrective actions necessary for eliminating noncompliance and ensure that the corrective actions are initiated and meets the intended purpose.
•Follow up and close of any non-conformances identified.
•Responsible for requiring remedial action, as necessary, by the Training Manager or the Accountable Manager
•Approval of annual audit plan for Maintenance Training Organization and ensure its Implementation ensuring that all aspects of CAR-147 compliance should be checked at least once in every 12 months.
•Review effectiveness of quality system through audit feedback and periodically apprise the Accountable Manager about compliance status with policies and standards.
•Notify the DGCA regarding any major changes in the organization, as soon as practicable.
•Support Training manager to carry out Training Need Analysis for the courses being taught.
•Encourage use of Technology and Innovations to improve the processes for effective competence buildup within the staff and the students.
•Other functions as per applicable CAR and the organizational requirements.
Desired Experience:
•Experience in Senior training operations/airline operations/management roles with leading Indian/Global airlines.
•Strong understanding of aviation regulations and standards, including those related to engineer instruction and training Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery Experience with world class AME schools.
•Qualification and Experience in Auditing CAR / EASA 147 training schools.

Desired Qualification:
•AME Technician’s Qualification preferably holding AME License.

•Engineering Graduate (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Aeronautical)
OR
•Previously holding similar position and approved by the regulatory authority for similar role.
