Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic Systems Engineer to join the Space Development Agency (SDA) System Test team in Denver, Colorado. This position is in support of the SDA Tranche 2 Tracking program, responsible for testing interfaces with various USSF and Joint organizations and their supporting contractors, and will define the scope of testing necessary to integrate the Space to Ground interface, ensuring readiness for incorporation into the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA).
In This Role You Will
- Prepare for and participate in checkpoints for planned software / hardware deliveries
- Develop test approaches, objectives, plans, and procedures
- Collect vital test data and conduct analysis of test data to support objective assessment
- Provide technical support and information to government personnel performing operations, developmental test, and assist engineering teams in troubleshooting efforts
- Travel along the Front Range of Colorado on an occasional basis will be required, with possible out of state travel for technical interchange meetings, design reviews and other integration events
Desired Skills
- Experience with OPIR mission processing and/or vehicle pre-launch testing
- Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
- Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
- TS/SCI security clearance
