Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Recruiter-Talent Acquisition for a Health Insurance partner in Irvine, California.
Working hours are from 8:00am- 5:00pm Monday- Friday
Pay range $30-$32 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS• BA/BS degree and four (4) to six (6) years working experience as a recruiter or eight (8) to ten (10) years of direct human resources experience with an emphasis on full-cycle recruitment preferred.
• PHR /SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP is highly desirable.
• Vast experience working with social media, job placement agencies, outside recruiters, and online job search engines to recruit for open positions.
• High degree of experience recruiting for highly specialized and executive-level positions.
• Moderate knowledge of labor laws, fair hiring, and other human resource compliance issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
• Strong ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-project, high-paced environment.
• High degree of experience creating reports, tracking data, and using it to inform decisions.
• High level of organization and attention to detail with strong ethics to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Proficient in end-user software programs (e.g., word-processing, spreadsheet software, applicant tracking systems, and human resources information systems).
• Experience working in applicant tracking systems (ATS). Jobvite knowledge a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
• Manage the company's recruiting needs by partnering with hiring managers and executives.
• Actively review and analyze employment applications and resumes.
• Update and maintain recruitment reports to track employee movement and employment activity rate.
• Develop and utilize strategies to actively recruit where passive recruitment will not yield the quality of candidates desired.
• Manage all position requisitions, candidates, and referrals in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Meet all talent acquisition goals and KPIs.
• Manage the candidate experience by coordinating with hiring managers and potential job candidates.
• Conduct initial phone screens, arrange interview appointments, facilitate pre-employment background screening and drug testing, and send interview confirmations and status notices.
• Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in-person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, make recommendations for hire (or not hire), and deliver employment offers for exempt and non-exempt position openings.
• Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain formal feedback regarding satisfaction with the recruiting processes.
• Manage the internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with the hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
Administrative
• Work with department managers to update job descriptions as needed to fill new positions or as job requirements change.
• Manage new hires with paperwork, review I-9, and process E-Verify within appropriate timelines.
• Facilitate the first day of onboarding for each new employee by reviewing the new hire paperwork and escorting the new employee to their manager.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external vendors to ensure the achievement of staffing goals.
• Provide weekly and monthly recruitment updates to the leadership team.
• Maintain the weekly recruitment dashboard and activity reports with current and accurate data and utilize the information to make data-driven decisions about talent acquisition processes.
• Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations pertaining to recruitment and fair hiring practices.
• Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
• Conduct a review of talent acquisition data with management teams quarterly and create action plans to address any areas that are not meeting the established goals and/or KPIs.
• Maintain membership and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to the industry.
• Contribute to the weekly Fresh Thoughts newsletter.
Branding & Marketing
• Collaborate with marketing to create and maintain a strategic approach to employer branding that will attract top talent and support employee retention across the employment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with managers and other HR functions to implement a framework that will ensure the promises to applicants articulated throughout the candidate experience are delivered throughout the employment lifecycle.
• Lead recruiting projects on special business initiatives in Talent Acquisition areas and leverage expertise and resources to meet project goals.
• Use traditional and non-traditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
• Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility of open positions.
