Job Purpose
To oversee the scheduling and management of airline crew members, ensuring efficient, compliant, and safe flight operations through proactive rostering, regulatory adherence, and coordination across operational teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor and control the disposition, availability, legality, and compliance of all Air India pilots and cabin crew.
- Ensure all flights are staffed with sufficient, qualified, and legal crew to support on‑time departures.
- Manage all leave, training changes, and crew requests from the roster publication date onward.
- Liaise closely with crew hubs to ensure timely dissemination of operational information.
- Contribute to decision‑making within IOCC to identify crewing risks early, investigate mitigations, and communicate solutions.
- Ensure all crew scheduled to operate flights maintain valid qualifications and adjust training schedules to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with rostering and training departments to ensure that any changes affecting unpublished rosters are communicated proactively.
- Liaise with crew bases and hubs, ensuring that only requests approved by Crew Control are actioned.
- Advise management on requirements for DGCA dispensations related to FTL extensions.
- Identify and report crew‑scheduling failure points for continuous improvement.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, including project‑based or ongoing work, aligned with expectations agreed with the reporting manager and HR.

Educational & Experience Requirements
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant operational experience within an airline environment
- DGCA‑related license (as applicable)
Experience
- Minimum: 5+ years of Crew Control experience in airline operations
- Desired:
- Prior experience in OCC
- Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of airline/airport operations and the aviation industry
