The Manager, Perishable Sales for Delta Cargo will lead customer Fresh Product programs in Europe, Middle East and Africa to grow customer share in partnership with Field Sales and Revenue Management. This position will be responsible for sales activities across the region including developing strategies to sell fresh products, covering customer visits, quoting business and answer customer inquires. This position will also be responsible for engaging with GSAs and local Sales' staff representing Delta Cargo to ensure full support of Fresh initiatives. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Sales EMEAI.
Location: We are open to UK‑ or EU‑based candidates, and the role’s base location may be aligned to the successful candidate’s country of residence.
Role And Responsibilities
- Lead Customer Cargo Sales across Europe, Middle East and Africa to ensure the budget is managed and revenue goals are achieved.
- Serves as a liaison between Product, Sales Development, Revenue Management Alliance Partners and other needed departments to ensure key revenue opportunities are realized.
- Work cross divisionally with ACS Operations teams to optimize customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Product Team to ensure the Fresh product is best positioned in the market to ensure revenue and share success.
- Contributes analytical expertise, business knowledge and ideas to various ad hoc projects.
- Ensures key and global customers are visited on a regular schedule to build long lasting relationships to improve product satisfaction and records the information in Salesforce to ensure information is spread across the organization.
- Maintains high-level industry knowledge and evaluates market competitive programs and practices in order to ensure Delta's competitive position is well-established.
- Plans and implements sales strategies that support JV and alliance partners worldwide.
- Constantly strives to create a culture of collaboration, innovation and speed to respond.
- Creates a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Candidates must have unrestricted, permanent right to live and work in the UK or the EU at the time of application.
- Minimum of 5 years related cargo sales experience or related work experience.
- General knowledge of Delta's markets and competitive market position as well as sales strategies, programs, processes, tools and infrastructure.
- Demonstrates initiative and self-directs work.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; excellent ability to seek input from and understand concerns of other stakeholders, including account management teams and customers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to produce documents and presentations ready for senior leadership review.
- Highly proficient PC skills including advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point; Microsoft Access skills are highly desirable.
