As Commercial Manager, you support the Head of Sales and Handling in driving the performance of the local Lufthansa Cargo team. You provide the information, tools, and frameworks needed to plan operations effectively, make informed decisions, and keep the team aligned with business goals. Tasks
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Translate Lufthansa Cargo strategies and targets into actionable local business plans.
- Monitor local performance, analyze deviations, and implement corrective measures.
- Use global management tools and reports for local performance tracking; create local analyses when needed.
- Maintain local CRM processes and customer intelligence frameworks.
- Act as the operational interface and information hub for the region and central units.
- Support business development, identify new market opportunities, and drive local initiatives.
- Assist the Head of Sales and Handling with top customer management, contracts, and events.
- Coordinate local pricing, network, capacity topics, and special agreements with regional and central teams.
Requirements
The ideal Commercial Manager should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3–5 years in the air cargo or international logistics industry, with knowledge of cargo forwarders and customers in Italy.
- Strong understanding of airline cargo processes and organizational structures.
- Excellent English and Italian; German is a plus.
- Advanced IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with LH Cargo systems is desirable.
- Key skills: innovation, communication, problem-solving, initiative, flexibility, teamwork, and accountability.
