Position Summary
Performs a variety of activities related to the division’s production operations across the following production areas: Bending, Chemical Processing, Welding, Visual Inspection, Polishing, and Assembly. Ensures autonomous and preventive maintenance activities are completed for equipment in these areas. Follows up on TIBs and ensures completion of actions agreed upon during daily start-up meetings. The primary objective is to coordinate the workforce to achieve productivity and earned-hours targets.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with AS9100 and Nadcap standards.
Conduct daily start-up meetings with the work team to ensure goal achievement and follow up on continuous improvement actions.
Ensure timely and proper training of direct reports, covering needs to keep production lines qualified through the training matrix.
Ensure compliance with internal rules of conduct and safety regulations.
Maintain control of consumables for assigned areas and request purchasing as needed.
Coordinate required activities through team leaders and peers to achieve Sales, Production, and customer-commitments.
Maintain strict control of Hour-by-Hour boards; take immediate action when targets are not being met.
Manage absenteeism and vacation schedules to ensure proper operation of production lines.
Support the Maintenance department by providing access/equipment to enable preventive maintenance in assigned areas.
Properly manage daily improvement board KPIs; ensure leaders conduct the daily start-up meeting and complete documentation correctly.
Maintain 100% participation in natural work teams (HPTs) and submit the required BARNS as the target for each area.
Responsible for strict adherence to operating procedures and to required customer standards.
Ensure layered process audits and autonomous maintenance activities on time.
Maintain required Quality, Delivery, and Productivity metrics.
Ensure product safety.
Provide timely responses to Customer Service and Planning teams to meet customer expectations and requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor´s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar position
Lean Manufacturing skills
Familiarity with product development and testing processes
Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
