How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
Delta Air Lines’ Operations & Customer Center (OCC) is seeking qualified intern, available for Summer 2026 Summer work terms.
OCC Interns will be assigned to one of the teams that support Delta’s 24/7 operation. The OCC is the “heartbeat” and nerve center of Delta’s world-wide operations and is responsible for all tactical and strategic decision-making for any operational disruption in our worldwide network.
This OCC Intern will be assigned to our CORE Technology team that supports the enhancement and maintenance of applications for the OCC frontline, allowing the OCC to monitor & run the airline real-time.
Though individual responsibilities may vary, some examples are given below:
- Support the OCC business technology team with project management of one or more of the 100+ applications used by the frontline OCC teams
- Identify, document, and track operational processes and how technology is used to support decision-making
- Support the classification of teach product’s usefulness & complexity to determine where to focus IT resources and which applications to retire, maintain or enhance
- Support the migration of OCC applications to the cloud
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Undergraduate students in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Project Management, Aviation Management, Aviation Science, Business, STEM or similar 4-year degree program
- Must be available to work May – August Summer 2026, Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM work schedule
- Must be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for each of the three alternating semesters
- Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required - be willing try new things and fail, learn from each experience and improve
- Willingness to brainstorm with and leverage expertise of other team members, maintaining a team-first attitude with success of your team as top priority
- Candidate is team-oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint
- Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

- Concentration or previous experience in project management, aviation management or communications
- Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with one or more project management tools
- Familiarly with the Agile project management process
- Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations
