PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER (MAINTENANCE)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all production assets are documented electronically with BOMs, critical spares identified, and demand actioned for the most production critical assets across Hawthorne production (F9, Dragon, Raptor, Starship).
- Create, revise, and maintain critical spare documentation, part information, unique supplier info, manufacturer and OEM specs required to source alternate hardware
- Manage, execute, and simplify demand signals based on maintenance planning, repair consumption, and existing repair/PM workflow across maintenance, ground, tooling, and automation groups
- Coordinate with suppliers, Maintenance Engineers and Technicians to identify substitutes for obsolete or long lead time components
- Forecast demand volume and optimize ordering strategies to balance inventory levels and minimize purchase frequency for high consumption parts
- Author and illustrate part record instructions, negotiation with maintenance vendors, and machine/equipment OEM
- Ensure necessary tools, parts and consumables are available ahead of scheduled maintenance activities
- Assess component-based lead times, costs, and safety stock demand quantities based on existing consumption data, upcoming scheduled repair/PM work, and overall supply outlook considerations
- Provide feedback to engineering and maintenance groups regarding part selection, ease of sourcing, and act as the single point maintenance relationship with purchasing.
- Strategize improvements to the PM parts program, machine parts documentation, and alternate spare parts cataloging
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience working in supply chain, production, engineering, or a project management function
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
- Familiarity with a high volume production environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse co-workers within the engineering, technician, and leadership teams; ability to have insight into their changing needs
- Ability to quickly learn, absorb, and apply technical content to further develop understanding of electronics assembly and testing processes
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and other third parties
- Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)
- Data analysis skills in Excel, VBA, Python, and/or SQL
- Prior experience working with SpaceX configuration management and work planning/dispatching tools
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Production Control Scheduler/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
Production Control Scheduler/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
