Role Introduction
Reports to: Senior Solution Lead
This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department who strive for continuous improvements so that we can provide you with a seamless experience with Cathay.
As a Solution Analyst, you play a key role in supporting and developing back‑office applications for subsidiaries. You contribute hands-on technical expertise, drive incident resolution and help shape system enhancements that meet evolving business needs.
his role offers exposure to cross-functional projects, solution design, and enterprise technology standards - ideal for someone looking to deepen their technical capabilities and grow within a dynamic IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide level 2 and level 3 incident support for subsidiaries’ back-office applications, including hands-on technical development, implementation and support
- Communicate effectively with business users to manage expectations across daily operations, change requests and incident handling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on workplace development, security enhancements and other technology projects
- Oversee and conduct quality assurance on solution components to ensure compliance with requirements and organisational standards
- Analyse requirements and evaluate solution options from a systems perspective
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience with proven hands-on application development and support exposure
- Tertiary qualifications are essential
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively with business users
- Experience or technical knowledge in SaaS applications and system integration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience supporting HR-related systems is preferred
- Knowledge of API JSON, VB or SQL is beneficial
- Experience in HR system development projects or knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese
