Job Purpose
To ensure the efficient management, maintenance, and readiness of all ground support equipment (GSE) in compliance with approved standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements, contributing to the seamless execution of maintenance activities and supporting operational excellence.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on GSE.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults and take corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Coordinate with the Tool Shop & GSE Supervisor for spare parts requisition and tool requirements.
- Ensure all GSE is compliant with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Ensure proper equipment is ready for engineers and technicians to perform tasks, returning all of it in good condition following completion of work.
- Assist in troubleshooting and emergency repairs to minimize operational downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support operational teams by providing timely GSE support during peak activities or special projects.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on GSE technology and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with safety, compliance, and operational standards for equipment used in high-reliability and safety-critical environments (aviation/transportation sectors) and maintenance procedures, inspection standards, and troubleshooting techniques for GSE.
- Skilled in performing preventive maintenance and safety inspections to ensure operational readiness.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to equipment maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems for logging and tracking maintenance activities.
- Awareness of environmental and hazardous materials handling related to equipment servicing (e.g., fuels, lubricants, batteries).
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and test equipment for repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service bulletins.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose faults and apply effective corrective actions.
- Competent in recording and documenting maintenance activities and equipment history accurately.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

Work Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) or equivalent mechanical/heavy equipment.
- Exposure to working in aviation, airports, logistics hubs, transport fleets, or heavy machinery workshops is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to diagnose faults and perform corrective/preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
